A very merry Halloween! [Mingle]
Date: 31st of October
Characters: Open!
Warning: Non-sexual desecration of formerly buried corpses
On the morning of Halloween, when people first step out of their houses, they will almost step into something.
A bucket of water. Every flat and every house in the Mossgate Boundary has a bucket placed in front of its entrance door (and sometimes, especially in Folkton and Moss Manor, the back door too), in which scary apples are floating. A little sign taped to the bucket reads: Have fun bobbing!.
But that's not the only thing that happened. The second thing that people will notice is that there are billions of spiders of all sizes crawling all over the town and villages, the military base, the Manor House... everywhere. And they certainly did their job - trees, lanterns, the higher attractions on the pier, and everything else that is high all over Mossgate Council is covered in thick layers of cobweb.
And lastly... those who pass by a church will notice something about the graveyards around them. Namely, that someone placed skeletons on top of most of the graves... Awfully real looking ones. Really, really awfully real looking ones. To some of them, the soil of the graveyard still clings, and the graves underneath them are in a state that betrays that they were dug up during the night. DNA tests would show that, indeed, the skeletons belong to the individuals buried in the graves.

I met him recently when I came to drop off lunch for you and mentioned you." So perhaps that is why he wasn't surprised. She can't remember what exactly was said, but she remembers mentioning Feste. "...I fear that's about what is known.
It also doesn't seem to be dangerous, or at least not more dangerous than anything that can distract you for a few seconds out of the blue." She can't deny that it makes her a bit nervous to drive.

"I don't really like that anyway..." They do well with some degree of ambiguity, but this? This is a bit much. And then they frown, thinking. "So... I was remembering something. What would even have been remembering, if it's connected to a weird magic thing?"

...And the scariest place to start. If nobody gets the same kind of things from this, then her children could get pretty much anything. She just hopes that whatever it is is good for them. Or at least not terribly bad.

It sure sounds like something from a movie.

I can't say if that is good or bad." They can't even know if it means that they're getting different kinds of echoes, or if they're just getting them at different times. For all she knows, each other's memories could be given to the other sometime in the future.
"Have you spoken to anyone else about this?" The memories, the network.

They shake their head, frowning. "Just you and Walter. I saw Nel was on it, too, but..." They want to have their life together a little before they talk to their little sister about it. They want to be able to help her with it, not have her worry about them.

She'd still rather have none than two of her children involved.
"At this rate we really need to tell Janice as well. Soon." She should probably already have done that, but how do you even start on something like that?
no subject
"Yeah... I guess so. Are we going to have to tell everyone? I mean, not everyone everyone, but..." He's a little worried about the other kids- honestly mostly because they're more likely to feel like they're being left out more than anything.

I wouldn't tell your other siblings, nor any other relatives. But Janice lives with us, and we might need her as a back-up, and... well." She shrugs. "She's my wife. I don't want to keep something this big from her. That only leads to trouble."
no subject
"Ok," they say quietly, "I... yeah. Are you gonna tell her?" It feels like it would be weird to gang up on her with it.

...You should tell Nel that you're a part of this now, too."
