Run, run, follow me [Open Mingle]
Date: Saturday, 4.1.2020
Characters: OPEN
I.
It's midday when trouble seems to brew underfoot. Literally underfoot, in cases - wherever the Numbered are, they'll suddenly find dormice approaching them, running around their feet, in some cases up their legs, aiming to get their attention, and then running off - coming back again, running off once more in the same direction.
Trying to get the Numbered to FOLLOW.
II.
If Numbered decide to follow the mice, they'll be lead through the streets, fields, or whatever there is (in some cases, this might mean that the mice are trying to lead them through the military area aroudn the air base). Perhaps they'll run into other Numbered on the way - all mice seem to be leading those that they lead into the exact same direction.
III.
The direction of, it turns out, the tunnels under the cliffs. The mice will easily slip through the grates that bar the entries - the grates were made to keep humans out and let a tiny mice through easily. The Numbered, however... well, the grates were installed solid and sturdy to keep humans out. The mice will vanish in the tunnels and not come back.

And she would really prefer for that to not happen. She kind of has a career and a family to take care of and such. Can't really afford to get into to too many trouble with the law.
"To my knowledge all openings are closed, and all official ones certainly are - but listening to some of the kids, there seem to be ways to get in and out anyway. Don't ask me how and where, though."
Hmm - how far SHOULD they have to walk/climb to find one?
They should probably step away from the grate for a moment, in that case.
"And- I might have a way to find that out, though I can only hope the information Ben and I gathered it still up-to-date."
He sounds annoyed as he says it - losing no small amount of drones due to signal loss would do that to anyone! - but not dismissive of his own idea.
At least not yet.
Well, how much do we want to bully them?
Sounds like it could come in very useful now, though.
... I vote at least a kilometer. Kitty probably knows one in a shorter distance, though.
Indeed it will be quite useful.
"We found more 'windows' than 'doors' in terms of openings for airflow, though."
By a long shot.

Except for the dog, I guess." But then, do you want to alert the person who'd probably just YELL to this? It'd been blessedly quiet on the network for a while now...
"Who asked you to check?"
no subject
Shame though it wasn't, in a way, much for the reason Marja's thinking.
"Reverend Marsh and MP Saunders themselves."

"...Why? Because of the sinkholes?" There had been a lot of talk about them, and those who claimed that it must be cave-ins in the tunnels had been around the older population... though most younger than the war, including Mary Ann, weren't so sure if that was a reasonable suspicion to have.

"They're a lot more extensive than previously thought."
He now has the evidence.
"And with how our Numbered luck has been, something's probably in them."

"And certain tunnels would get larger when it would have made more sense to shrink, as well as vice-versa."
no subject
Whatever that is. "...It might not be all that safe to go down there." Which doesn't mean that they shouldn't go. Just: "We should go prepared." Whatever exactly that means - it probably depends by person. She thinks she should at least take some first aid things along. Because knowing this troupe, one of the kids will break their ankle. Or probably do something more creative than that. Learn how to fly and crack their skull because they can't control it. Who knows.

... Which he was really beginning to hate, but that was another matter.
"Meet back up in, say, three-quarters of an hour? Not necessarily here, mind."
Because that'd just be even more suspicious.

Maybe by that time we'll have an idea of how to get in there, too.
See you then." And with that she'll go to fetch a few things.
