[Audio] Help?

Does anyone have any experience with applying for sixth form?

[Shinichi's tone is rather harried. Between this and exams, he hadn't had much time for anything else recently.]

Considering I’m about to graduate from sixth form, I should be able to help you apply.

Is it a particular step that’s confusing, or the whole process?

Are you planning on attending the local college? And have you chosen a programme of study?

[If Jimmy leaves Mossgate for school, they will be down another Numbered, but Benjiro is not about to try to sway him.]

Choosing which schools to apply to is probably the most important step then. The schools in New York have a very different system than those here in regards to the application process.

Criminology is a bit specific for sixth form. You might have to settle for Chemistry or Psychology.

[Benjiro can certainly relate to that, even as a citizen.]

Chemistry is quite fun in sixth form.

That might be a good way to consider it. Try a year of sixth form college, and if it doesn’t work out for any reason, then you can apply and switch to New York right on time with your age group.

It should carry the same benefits as your initial reasons for transferring in.

Then it’s a matter of selecting a sixth form college. The one here in Mossgate is nice. Are there any others you have considered?

I didn’t want to assume.

After all, you made quite a change to come here to Mossgate.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by the quality, convenient or not.

For what it’s worth, I’m glad you’ll be sticking around.

Well the General Information form should be the easiest so it's always best to ackle that first. Academic Background is the next most important. Do you have your predicted grades for your GCSE's?

Cool, you'll want to submit that along with your current school's address and the name of your tutor.

The next section should be your desired subject choices and then a personal statement, aka, the worst bit.

Brill, you should be able to use that you just have to make sure to emphasise anything extracurricular or independent reading and work related to your studies.

After that, it'll be down to your tutor or teachers at school to do a reference but you should be fine!

No worries, if you have any other questions about this or the sixth form in general, shoot them my way. If it's for any of my subjects I can try and give a bit more insight into the course and the exams.
