Easter Sunday starts perfectly normal, and promises to stay so - a welcome relief from all the weirdness of the last few months.

Well.

Unless you own chicken or bunnies.

Because as it so happens, if you own one, you will now find yourself with an equal amount of the other. Children who keep a bunny wake up to a chicken having replaced it inside the cage, picking around with some confusion (not that it is hard to confuse chicken). Farmers who keep chicken will find a bunch of bunnies of varying sizes in the coops.

And out and about, wherever normally bunnies would be destroying lawns and more by burrowing into it, there are young chicks milling around, for the most part very surprised by encountering sun and lawn and fields.

Possibly - but there's nothing to tell apart the farm chickens from those that are wild, so they might peck at you.

[But even as he says that, he's already tucking his notebook into a pocket as he crouches down near one of the chickens. ]

[Meanwhile Thom is still trying to stealthily sneak up on one of the chickens.

He isn't very good at stealth. ]

[Thom finally stretches and his fingers just barely manage to brush the chicken's feathers. And just like that, he suddenly has to sit down as the sound of a heartbeat echoes inside his head.

A memory appears in his mind, and he freezes in confusion as he tries to understand. A forest. A dragon. Something that might have been a dog or a rabbit, A little white creature. Another boy. And an enormous chicken?]

I think... Was that what a memory feels like?

Meanwhile, Walter's emotional state can be best summarized as "Oh, no."]

Did you get a feeling of hollowness, and hear a heartbeat?

Yes! That was exactly what it was like. A heartbeat and then I got all hollow and dizzy and the I remembered something. Except I don't think it was ever something I did.

At least I don't think I've ever fought a giant electricity eating chicken. There was a dinosaur too. And a really big rabbit.

I'd like to think we'd all remember if something like that happened here.

[Or, uh, anywhere on Earth probably. Even just at a fan convention, the video would go viral.]

Better try and write the details down, or draw them. Ideally in something where you can control who accesses it.

I don't know if I could write them, but I can try and draw them! [Everyone had better prepare themselves for crayon drawings of certain digimon.]

Especially the dinosaur. I remember him best because I think he was my best friend.

Did you get his name, in that memory? Or 'yours', for that matter?

I heard them calling me something that started with T, but I didn't recognize it. It didn't sound like any name I've heard of before.

That one you might need further context for - especially if it was in a different language.

It must have been. I couldn't really understand what anyone was saying. But I think the chicken was a bad guy. He sounded mean.

... Thom could Echo back learning/knowing Japanese.

We're lucky we don't have to deal with him on the Network, then.

He was kind of loud, so I guess so. And it would be a problem if someone ate all the electricity here.

Understandable! No chaining Echoes in a thread, either, if I recall rightly.

Definitely.

[On the one hand, that'd mean the wifi would go down. On the other, in the grand scheme of things Walter's problems are small ones; he really wouldn't want something so disastrous to happen in order to reverse one thing done to him.]

With no advance notice, a lot of people could get hurt - particularly those in hospitals.

[So Thom's mum REALLY wouldn't appreciate that.]

Mmm, that would be really bad.

But I wouldn't mind if I could meet some of the others. They were all really nice.
