Tarwich Community Centre was used to hosting meetings and gatherings, though none of the staff at the facility were aware of how odd the gathering going on in one their function rooms truly is going to be. All mention of said gathering that was about to start had been kept off of the Network thanks to Sadie's insistence about safety. Some of the food was provided by the community centre, however, the many plates of biscuits were all courtesy of Ben's Aunt Rosemary. Everything was finally ready for the Numbered to start turning up.

Seth finally arrives with a big box. When I say big, it's the kind that a cat would love, and it's big compared to what's in it. Which is six stacked trays of three different types of cookies. There's hot cocoa, red velvet cheesecake and lemon-lime basil shortbread cookies. He sets them out to eat and even grabs a plat of some, because he loves sweets. There's plenty for people.

After that, he's nervously going to try to mingle. This is his first time doing this. He's new to this!

"Oh, now, those are a good first impression," Russell says, appearing at the side of the table to investigate the newcomer - and, perhaps even moreso, the newcomer's biscuits. They look colorful and sweet, and he reaches around for a plate of his own.

Halfway through grabbing one, he squints at Seth's face and fails to recognize him. "You're here for the meeting, right...?"

The lack of recognition might be mutual; Russell hasn't hasn't seen Seth's accidental video because he hasn't been responding to much of anything on the network, or keeping up with the network's activity, the last couple months.

"Ah, yes! I'm Seth Teufel! I guess you could say I'm new? ...I wasn't aware of any of this until recently. I was streaming a video to the wrong place on accident."

It's Complicated. But please, enjoy them. They're delicious and he's worked hard on them.

"I hate when that happens," Russell commiserates, nodding and continuing to grab of a couple of each of the sweets.

"So you weren't aware until recently... Does that mean you just found out about the network, or did you only start remembering that number recently, too?"

"Just found the network... I think I've had that number thing for about... Ten yearsish now?"

He just chalked it up to being weird. Because he is weird.

The last of the biscuits sprays some crumbs across his plate, as Russell freezes up, then turns to stare at Seth again.

"Ten... Ten years? What? You've had that number in your mind... ten years?"

"I think? I'm not sure. Somewhere around there. But I'm kind of used to remembering and repeating odd details like that. It's been a thing I've done since a child, so I chalked it up to that."

It's. It's a thing.

"I make dolls, and I used to be a doctor, so tiny details getting stuck in my head is kind of normal for me."

"Right, right, you noticed it years ago, because... you pay attention to things like that. How long ago did all this start, then..."

Russell mumbles to himself, shaking his head as a moment as he tries to process it. Not just a few months ahead of the network, but years. Long enough that he has to wonder, had they all had the numbers for that long, but just not noticed them until something jostled their minds?

"You should say that when the meeting starts up. All that, it might... it might be significant."

[twirighted]

"I can definitely do that. I know I talked to Walter about the medical side, seeing if I could break out my old being a doctor thing and keep track of things on that front for us, too..."

But that requires volunteers. but it would maybe get information.

It takes until now for that point of Seth's comments to sink in, distracted as Russell was by the sheer length of time he'd mentioned.

"Another doctor, we're flush with doctors lately. That's convenient... Have you talked to Mary, yet? I think I saw her come in..."
