Water, Water Everywhere
Date: March 1st ; ETA: March 2nd
Characters: Walter Weekes, Sadie Moore ; ETA: Walter Weekes and Benjiro Thorne
It hasn't even been a full week, and though Walter's learned much he is still struggling without sight apart from the not-quite-darkness of webspace.
More mundanely, the house is still barely livable after the disastrous flooding; Ben's assistance, among other things, has been vital towards getting the place drained and dry.
Other visits - like Sadie's - are much appreciated, and Walter is well aware of what chaos Echoes have been wreaking in her life lately.
His mind keeps coming back to that water, though, and he can never quite settle, never quite relax-
The next day comes the first chance to test a possible workaround - finally, finally, by Walter's account, though he still feels guilty for having the notion.
After all, he's not in charge of the passage of time.

“You can take a break from the sunglasses if you’d like. I’ll see about how far the gap is along the walk,” he says to encourage his friend to take advantage of the space. Phone raised to watch it search for networks, he walks slowly down the path further ahead to determine the stretch available.
Hmm - continue to the end of the wifi deadzone, or fade out?
Settling back against a spot of door-free wall, he notes internally that he is never going to take this view for granted.
No matter how limited it might seem.
Fade out in a few tags I think
Easing himself next to his friend to also lean against the wall, he gives the report, “About a meter shy of the corner. At least for this side of the street.”
Sounds good!
"I'm not going to ask you to cross the street to find out how wide the gap is," Walter emphasizes. He's still clearly pleased, though.
"We might not want to be kicked off the sidewalk for loitering, either way."

Benjiro shrugs his shoulders, “I don’t think anyone will take notice with only the two of us for a while. Especially if we don’t block other pedestrians from passing easily.” Leaning against the wall, he closes his eyes as he settles there to encourage Walter to stay and simply take in the view.
Aaand thread wrap?
Fortunately, this sidewalk isn't the most narrow in the neighborhood, so the offer is accepted with grace.
