[Video] - November 3 or so (before the bonfires)

[The network window that opens up for people when they connect, today, shows a mirror in a hallway, with a familiar face in it-- mostly familiar, anyway. Sam Stone's skin has gone gray, literally-- not sickly gray, not pale or ill-looking... just gray. As if it faded from color along with his hair. The only color left to him are his eyes, still light blue.]

Anybody listening today? I thought maybe we should catalog all the weird changes we're all going through. I'll start.

[He holds up his hand-- also gray.]

I got that bloodhound-league sense of smell thing a while ago, and on Halloween a spider turned my skin gray. Crazy, right? Also, I can growl when I'm grumpy about something. Demonstrations available if you want 'em.

Who else has had some weird shit change for them?

[Loftily, knowing full well he's made himself look silly but refusing to back down so soon.]

Well! A man can have more than one aesthetic. I don't know.

[Sam chuckles.]

I mostly don't. I don't care much about what I wear.

[The chuckle then turns into a sigh.]

I guess I'm going to have to start, though.

It does sound that way...?

[Russell aims for sympathetic, ends up somewhere closer to uncertain.]

Do you know anybody who knows fashion...? Grey skin is, uh, a lot cooler than usual. That's a unique problem, there. But if there's anyone you can ask to shop with you, figure out things you don't mind with the right colors... The right colors could make it less obvious.

I suppose I could get my daughter to help. Or somebody else from here.

[He pauses and eyes Russell thoughtfully.]

You apparently know more about this than I do.

I guess I do, at that... Theatre, and all. You know.

[He shrugs slowly, realizing what he's maybe volunteered for.]

I don't know what you like, or what you'll feel silly in. If you feel too uncomfortable, you'll do all those little things that draw attention, and then people might notice the other things.

[Costumes for the extras take a little effort, to help the relatively inexperienced stay in character.]

At this point, "feeling silly" is a given no matter what I do. Clothes or make-up, it's all going to make me feel ridiculous. I'll just have to get used to it. At least clothes aren't all over my skin.

Ah... Of course.

Well, if you're free when I am, I could come with and offer pointers...?

Just let me know. I don't have a lot going on in my life that can't be bumped to another time. Or a lot going on in my life, period.
