Conversations on the network wrapped up by the time her grandfather arrives, Nel is curled up close with her mum in the chair when she hears the door open. Traces of sleepiness are rubbed away from her eyes with one hand as she lifts her head up. With one look to her mother, Nel slides from her lap to stand up on the floor and hurry over to meet her grandfather. Hair still half held in a tieless braid and wearing her jammies, she doesn’t hesitate to greet her grandfather with an immediate hug.
