Oh, he's already going to have raised skin from claw marks all over the place, the lack of biting is a small but appreciated gesture.
Nothing about this is ideal, really. The stressed departure is exactly what you don't want, to get a dog to settle comfortably and happily in another location, and he has no plan how he'll get dog things and dog and motor scooter back to his flat properly. Certainly he's not going to ride the scooter properly, with a wriggling and unhappy dog in tow.
They'll just have the most canine of sirens sounding, as he does his best to keep dog in hand on the trip back to the flat.
