There is, in fact, nobody around right now, but Sadie will hear a patrol walking towards them. It's coming from downwind from Stone, so he would catch the scent too late.

Luckily (?) there's a nearby opening in the fencing around the bomb that they could slip through, should they wish to do so. It's only really visible from up close - someone didn't properly push the fence back shut before locking it down.
