Walter just blinks at that - or he would, if his words didn't come out fast enough.
"Maybe his timeline breaking
is
why you have his memories?" he suggests.
The cocoa's going to have to wait, but Walter quietly nudges a marshmallow at Jim's hand instead.
"If I have to watch over you to make sure you sleep, I'll do it."
He wouldn't have let himself say it if he didn't mean it, but
man
does a part of him feel... something, about saying it.
