[...well. He's had that number rattling around in his head off and on for how long, and now he decides to make use of it? Torin is quite possibly late to the party. But he does, however, have a very important first question to ask of people after he's scribbled the number down on his notebook while having a morning cup of coffee in his office and after he's processed a bit of what's going on here.]

I'll have to go over there and take a look, I suppose. It's fortunate that nothing at all about this would be unusual behavior for me, there is that.

I haven't gone poking around a sinkhole since a college trip to Florida. At least I've a better idea of the importance of safety this time around.

Then you must not have hung around many scientists. They're very passionate. Some just control that passion better than others.

That is the general idea behind that theory, yes, though it is falling out of favor.

I was just testing out a new ink pen and thought that would be as good a way to test it as any. This is not how I thought my morning would go.

Those are always fortunate circumstances - which, given how strange life has become, is something to treasure.

Oh, I'll never complain about things working out well. It's nice when it's easy.

All the charges were dropped, and we all swore each other to secrecy. Went well enough in the end, I suppose.

[Sam ran out of humor when his grandchildren wound up with numbers. (Not entirely true, but he's still kinda serious about this right now.)]

They have very simplistic understandings of what those concepts mean, but they do seem to mostly stick to them. Mr Helpful tries returning lost things to people, and Mr Evil is responsible for having to explode that world war II bomb last year.

It looks kind of like a brontosaurus.

The first one, they had the good sense to at least try to consult with paleontologists.

I'm not sure what happened with the subsequent ones.

That's an excellent reason for a favorite dinosaur, really. It's the ones we connect to as children that really seem to make a difference--I saw a Brachiosaurus skeleton in my youth that really made an impression on me.'

Brontosaurus is a name that exists largely within the pop culture lexicon and has been a source of contention among paleontologists for quite some time. But yes, it's the same general idea.

I'd like to think it's a solid, steady sort of choice. Perhaps one that might inspire me to eat more vegetables.

I mean, the only reason my first question here wasn't "what's everyone's favourite sea creature" is because Sadie introduced me to it by writing something. So it makes sense that someone asking about dinosaurs might be you.

A lot of different ones! Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus and Allosaurus and Archaeopteryx and and lots of others!

All fine choices! Archaeopteryx in particular has been integral in our understanding of dinosaur evolution.
