If anything Ben's whisper makes Sadie cling to him all the more tightly, everything feels so overwhelming in the moment, so much is riding on how her parents handle the news but not Ben. Ben would be there for her even if it went poorly, even if the worst happened and she had to leave Mossgate they had planned and prepared and she wouldn't forget what he meant to her.

Slowly but surely her crying dies down and Sadie sags in Ben's hold, taking a moment to just stay and feel, "Even if I had to leave... I'd still remember and I'd still love you." She whispers, relieved, "We made sure of it."
