The child looks unconvinced, yet she has no alternative reason to propose, “Or a Bells thing...” It seems odd that any cat would be so fixated on one human, especially when care of the cats is a shared responsibility in the household. Regardless of why, it does actually make the idea possible, “Hey, maybe you can start training her if she likes you so much. You could teach her really cute tricks!” Or tricks with an actual purpose.
