Caught up in the mutual euphoria, Benjiro looks up at Sadie as he marvels at her. All that she is can only be described as wonderful, so when she asks about being so lucky to have him, he blinks with surprise only to smile and shake his head. Hand lifting to sweep under her hair, he brushes it back from her face to allow the strands to slip in a slow fall back downward, “I’d like to ask you the same thing, Sadie. I have never met anyone like you… So thoughtful to others, confident, intimidatingly beautiful and brilliant, and wise in ways I don’t think many people ever achieve. You gave me friendship, and when I needed it most, a haven.” Then with a small pinch of humor, he adds, “And I have certainly never met anyone that can appreciate a rock like you.”
